The Ottawa Citizen has posted a story detailing the exposure of corruption within the highest ranks of the reformist government of Kenya by Secretary for Ethics and Governance John Githongo. Mr. Githongo was appointed by the Kenyan government in 2002 to tackle corruption within the country, but was expected to look the other way when it came to the officials in government office. Instead, Mr. Githongo painstakingly documented and recorded incriminating evidence against the officials and publically exposed them after leaving the country for fear of his life.
